Has this new style of fruit growing trellising arrived in your area?
In New York State, this highly effective support system for orchard and vineyard use has been evolving over the past 15 years. Cornell University’s Geneva Experimental Station and Innovative Fence have jointly developed and refined this trellising system for commercial fruit trees and vines. Supported by extremely stable and long-lived triangular braces, this trellising system answers the need of fruit growers for a dependable method of supporting high-density plantings during the various stages of their growth. The equilateral triangle brace we use is the strongest, simplest and least expensive brace made. It requires little or no maintenance, can be installed any time during the year, and functions very well in regions with high winds and tornadoes.
